Barça B: Talks with Sevilla on Valiente stopped

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that the negotiations with Sevilla on the transfer of Barcelona Atlètic (previously known as Barcelona B) captain and central defender Marc Valiente (21) to Sevilla B have been cancelled, despite the player already having reached an agreement with Sevilla after he was told by Barcelona that he could leave this summer.


Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona has now started to look at other offers that the club has received for Valiente.

Valiente apparently started the pre-season with the first team although an injury prevented him from travelling with the group to Scotland.

why does barca want to sell Valiente? He was one of the best Barca B players. I thought he would be promoted this season or next since we are looking to have more defensive backups. Does nayone have any insights?

Guardiola knows him very well, so I guess he has his reasons. I never saw him play but to me he looks very thin and frail, so maybe that's a reason?
