Deal with Celtic on Crosas

Scottish tabloid Sunday Mail claims that Celtic Glasgow is on the verge of signing Barcelona midfielder Marc Crosas (20) after the two clubs reached an agreement on a 2,5 million euro° deal.

Crosas' representatives would fly to Glasgow in the coming hours to discuss personal terms. Crosas, who played on loan with Olympique Lyon during the first half of this year and who was also wanted by Sevilla, Sporting Gijon and Sampdoria, hopes to sign a three-year contract within the next 72 hours.

Barcelona would have preferred to loan the player to Celtic but Crosas held direct talks with club officials and urged them to let him move on a permanent transfer. The excellent working relationship built up at boardroom level in the past years between Celtic and Barcelona also helped seal the deal.

NNNNOOooooo!! Why are they doing this...just let him go on loan. I hop this isnt true. Just loan him to Sporting Gijon so he can play all the matches...

I understand why he wants to leave. The club haven't treated him very well and they didn't clarify his role in the team. Good luck Crosas and hope you come back!

I agree with the previous comment. Barcelona have treated Crosas poorly, letting him dangle in the wind for months while not speaking to him directly and making it known his role and future at the club. So I'm not surprised to see Crosas leave and go to a place where hopefully he'll be appreciated and treated a lot better. I wish him the best of luck and a prosperous future.

Crosas needs stability, so this is not surprising and I wish him luck. I believe he will be a very good player. I wish we could find a place for him.

Does anyone know if there is a buy-back-clause included? If so it would not be that bad...otherwise i think it's a very bad deal for barca. 2.5 million euro is nothing for a la masia product. I belive in Crosas and think he is a man for the future. But Barca is a too big club for him at the moment. I hope he returns some day.

Another CESC case we will realize that, and regret it. shouldnt sell him he has it, he could be a world class player he is young. And it doesnt mean that Bojan plays while he is just 17 that others players who pass the 20, wont be start, thats not true at all. Grosso started his proffesinoal career at 23. So a huge mistake in my opinion
