Cesc dreams of Barcelona return

Asked about the possibility of returning to Barcelona (read more here), Arsenal midfielder and Spanish international Cesc Fàbregas (21) has said in an interview with Barcelona radio station RAC 1 that he wouldn't hesitate if the time was right:

"It would be a dream to return one day to Barcelona. But at this moment I have decided to give everything for Arsenal and I don't want to throw things away just like that. I would like to win more titles with Arsenal but we'll see what can happen next year.

It sure was great to see that many youth academy players, who really are playing according to the philosophy of the club, defeat Atlético on Saturday. For me, Messi is still the best player in the world and if he doesn't have injury problems he has an excellent future ahead. I hope he can continue like this although I'm not surprised anymore by what he's doing since I know him for many years."

I'm sorry, Cesc, but we just don't need you right now. Maybe if Xavi retires...

I don't know about Cesc. I think he really would heve to adpt. At Arsenal he has a lot of space to move around, he can drop back, he can go forward. But in our system he wouldn't have that much freedom. Especially not to drop back, he should stay higher.

Bringing him in right now, wouldn't be good. Xavi and Messi (and Iniesta) are in command. Another player like that who likes to make the play would just be too much.

Guess he starts to regret his choice. He's kind of stuck at Arsenal, who aren't playing for the trophies since he got in the first team. Well, they're there, but they cannot get them for some reason.

We should get him when Xavi ends his career

He's definitely one of the best midfielders in the world, and he's only 21. If he wants to come back to Barca it would be easy. All FCB need is wait for his contract to come to an end. It would be for a 4 years, but he'll still be young.

Don't bother Paco. We don't want you. Stay with the Arses. :P

i think i left i post on the skysports arsenal forum months ago.
Cesc is wise enough to know that the man (Xavi) who keeps him out of the Spanish team is still good enough to win the MVP @ EURO 2008. So why would he want to join that same man's (XAVI's) club? He knows the right time, when Xavi is in his early 30s, Cesc woul be in his med 20s, so that would be the right time for him to come back home.. And why would Barca want to splash cash (i guess £25M or more) on him now just to keep him on the beanch and cause trouble in the dressing room? I would personally love to see him return @ some point, but def not now!!

heeeeeyyy guys!! what a you talking about... it will be super if Fabregas will return.

----------valdes-------------

alves--marquez--puyol--abidal

---xavi--fabregas--iniesta---

----messi--eto'o--aguero-----

....and with subs like :
pique, caceres, busquets, toure, bojan, jeffren[next season], etc. , will be perfect!

OUT : Keita (i think this was bad signing)

Henry (he is 31years old, and still not adapted 100% to spanish, and especially Barca football)

Sylvinho, Pinto, Milito/Marquez/Abidal (one of them)

Barca must go for Aguero and Fabregas !!!

I think Fabregas could easily take the other midfield spot and have Iniesta move permanently to left wing. That's his best position anyway.

I think we really need to think about selling Henry if a great offer comes up, though he probably would be reluctant to accept as well.

I agree with noubarca, we should wait out his contract so we don't have to give Arsenal an unnecessary amount of money to get him just to ride the pine but in 4 years Xavi will be close to retirment and Cesc will be close to his prime. Perfect time in my opinion.

Sure, now he might fit to the squad, but you people forgot one thing - the youth team!

we have many talents coming that could start playing first team (Gai, Thiago) and natural left wingers that could replace iniesta so he can go back to being center midfield like he's suppose to be... plus Hleb who is injured... now i will definitely don't think we need, and who knows what will happen in 2-4 years... but i believe that even than we will not need him.

time will tell :)
