Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona Atlètic attacker Víctor Vázquez (21) and Barcelona Atlètic wing attacker Jeffrén (20 - picture) have signed a contract renewal yesterday.
The contract of both players still expires in 2010, but the two got a pay rise and a buyout clause of 5 million euro° was included in the new agreement.
With Víctor Vázquez and Jeffrén before able to leave Barcelona for free in the summer of 2009 when they weren't promoted to the first team and several clubs interested in signing them in January, Barcelona has proposed them this renewal.
Both attackers would have been contacted by other clubs. A few Primera División teams wanted to transfer Víctor Vázquez during the winter transfer market. Last summer, Barcelona already refused to listen to offers from first division teams, amongst which Málaga, for the Catalan attacker.

I really want to see Jeffren in a match or two during Iniestas absence. Although we are up against really major teams the coming month.
