Madrid sports tabloid Marca claims that Barcelona is interested in signing Olympique Lyon forward and French international Karim Benzema (20) next summer (read more here).
A transfer of the French striker is nevertheless only an option if the contract of Barcelona forward and Cameroonian international Samuel Eto'o (27) couldn't be renewed.
Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola would think that both players are candidates for the centre forward position and cannot play together, while the club isn't willing to spend a huge transfer fee to let one of the two forwards sit on the bench.
Barcelona plans to offer Eto'o a renewal later in the season but the negotiations on the contract extension will not be started this year (read more here). The current contract of Eto'o expires in the summer of 2010.

I've said it before and i'll say it again. I do NOT think that barca will ever pay the amount of money that he's valued at (100mil). Not even half actually.
About the supersub-situation. Is there any way in h-ll that llorente would leave bilbao? Would be fun to try him out as a target player in the team. A real tall one.

Aguero as centre forward, you mean (cause that's what this is about) ? Don't think so... He could maybe play on the left as some false winger like Iniesta, but not in the centre.

In theory that's a great plan, Selo, but the two things (selling Henry and buying Benzema) will be really difficult, because we're not in a good position to negotiate neither of those transactions...

no its not a muscle injury. he has DISCOMFORT. they ruled out a muscle injury.
Shouldn't we be using Bojan if Eto'o leaves? This way, Barça saves money and plays a youth player.
eto'o should renew than geting this benzema.i think eto'os renewal should be a priority.he is very inteligent in front of goal and indeed a goo professional than karim.eto'o should saty
benzema wont come to barca for more than 40mil,so if lyon doesnt drop their price tag we wont sign him,henry will leave this summer thats a sure thing(keeping him this season was a mistake,we should have sold him and acquire silva).if we are to give 40mil i would prefer aguero than benzema,i think benzema is overated alot(especially on the money)and aguero is alooooot better,also would fit better,yeah we wouldnt be the best team for crosses but then again aguero can play as a 2nd striker and as a winger
