British tabloid The Daily Mail claims that Manchester City is still hopeful of signing Barcelona forward and French international Thierry Henry (31).
The French striker would be one of the main targets of the English Premier League club when the next winter transfer window opens in January (read more here).

I think Henry's been great. But honestly if they pay us an exorbitant amount to get Henry would anyone mind? We could use that money to buy a winger/forward. I'd rather Man City have Henry then taking Villa away from La Liga.
I totally agree with you, James. I'd sell him in January if Man City offer a huge amount of money. Who won't take 15-20M if they offer? Who can assure us that he won't get injured till summer (he's 31 y.o.)? I'd give a chance to Bojan. He's maybe not experienced like Henry, but he already proved his worth. BTW, Gudjohnsen is striker, so Barca have adequate cover for Eto'o. It will be difficult to buy good striker in January if Barca sell Henry. And, in the end, Henry stated before that he won't play for any other side in Premiership because he's Gunner. It could be the reason to wait until the summer to sell him. I'd sign Villa, Benzema or Aguero.
Aguero is already heading this way, he can play left and center forward so there'll be load of forwards.. yes if City offer huge amount of money then its a good business unless the boards want Henry for the MLS project.

first off his young can play in the forward line usually playing left wing is tall and fast also wants to leave liverpool and can really be seen as a bargain and he is familiar with the 4-3-3 system

Also ever since Valencia I've been having good feelings that Henry will be useful for us.
We have Henry to add depth to the squad and really no big striker that we want will come in January. So we can leave the subject for the summer. AFTER the season is gone and we can evaluate performances!
If we are going to talk january tranfer talk about gaps we have (we have none) or realistic people we might buy or sell.
Henry cant go in January unless Man City offer crazy money and put it forward as a final offer, I mean, who knows, Man City may not want Henry in the summer. Then you've got to think, about Henry's preferences, thats going to be the telling factor.
In terms of January transfer plans, I still would go for Arshavin because I think Barca's frontline squad over the season might haunt them in need to win games, and this would be one way of suring up a good front 3, per game.
If not, then I expect a huge summer signing up front, Aguero being my number 1 choice, but I'd assume that Guardiola would be more keen on Benzema given his striker prototype theory.
